The Civic is one of the most celebrated cars in the automotive industry. So when Honda set out to create a social campaign celebrating its 50th anniversary, we knew we had to make it personal, which meant getting 50 years of Civic fans in on the fun on social.
We created a month-long celebration, looking back on all 5 eras of the Civic. Since the fan base is one of the most passionate automotive fan bases in the world, we created an entire campaign using UGC for assets, putting Civic fans at the center of it all. The Civic 50th Anniversary set out to be the biggest UGC call-to-arms in Civic history. It was a party for Civic owners that included a mix of paid and organic social celebrations filled with UGC features, fan-filled videos, unique IG Stories, collectible digital schwag and a one big countdown leading up to the whole thing.
